Our host organisation is looking for an intern to assist the marketing team to develop and implement the marketing and communications strategy

Responsibilities

1. To research and analyse key trends relevant to core business
2. To undertake and present specific research projects relevant to core business objectives
3. To assist in creating clear and succinct presentations for internal and external use
4. To assist with creation and distribution of newsletters and promotional items
5. To help to accurately build and maintain customer database
6. To assist in the implementation of specific marketing campaigns
7. To attend team meetings and be willing to contribute to other team activities as requested.

Essential

• Excellent communication skills, written, verbal and interpersonal
• Good administrative and IT skills (including Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel)
• Creativity and ability to work on own initiative and meet deadlines
• Good research and internet skills
• A well structured, strategic thinker that can formulate ideas, with a clear rationale
• Attention to detail
• Takes initiative
• Excellent team player

Desirable

• Previous marketing or events experience
• Interest in marketing, communications, social media, digital
